Today we went to Tybee Island. We had a reservation for a dolphin cruise and we wanted to have lunch at The Crab Shack. Our day went off without a hitch, the Crab Shack was just wonderful. We ate steamed shrimp, deviled crabs, and corn-on-the-cob. Oh my gosh, it was wonderful. There was a breeze blowing, we were sitting outside under a tree canopy on the Bull River. On our way to the Eco/Dolphin Tour we stopped at the Fort Pulaski National Park. That was neat. We'd never stopped there before. The fort played a big part in the Civil War. We were able to walk around for a bit before heading to the dolphin tour.

Tybee Island
You weren't expecting a blog update every day were you? Well not this time. I'll make sure to blog about the highlights, but that's it. Yesterday would have been a blah blog update anyway. The day was just miserable and rainy all day long. My wonderful husband did wake up and suggest we go to breakfast, that's always a winner in my opinion. Other than that we occupied our time with indoor activities. Hey, we played cards and watched some TV, what were you thinking? Let's keep it PG rated!!
The dolphin tour was a treat. We had a perfect day for being out on a boat. It was bright and sunny, the temps were only in the upper 70's, and there was a breeze blowing. The tour only had six people booked for the day, so that was nice too. We didn't have to worry about seating or being able to see well. The two captains were nice guys. This is only the second year for this company, so the boat was almost brand new and they were trying very hard to make it a great cruise. When we didn't see any dolphin right away, they extended the cruise to make sure we got a sighting, and we DID!! It was very cool and I would love to do that again sometime.
